Question about Auto Traders/Truck Traders
Where would I find out information having to do with companies having
territorial rights on products/services they provide?? More detailed, I'm
wondering if the Auto Trader/Truck Trader company has some sort of
territorial right on the service they provide....magazine and
online.....Thanks in advance...

There's nothing to prevent you from starting a similar service, LennyZ, however; you must be aware of their trademark rights, and make sure you don't copy their name, for example. They don't have any territory rights. There's no such thing as far as I know.
Usually it's companies that protect their own territory rights by their own product from being sold by more than one person in the same territory.
If you want to sell a similar and competing product in the same area it's fair ball. That's the nature of an open market place. That being said - if you were to use the names Auto Trader or Truck Trader I'm pretty sure you would see a cease and desist letter within hours of your first public advertising.
Cheers,
John
